‘Create More Content’ to Get Rich

📝The Nash Notes are notes to myself, I just share them with you hoping they will help you on your journey. 🛣️

I hate being stuck? Stuck scrolling social media and watching others do what I want to be doing?

Watching them living the life I wish I was living?

I am tired of watching my favorite podcasters, Greg Isenberg at Startup Ideas Podcast and Shaan Purri with My First Million, doing what I want to be doing.

I’m tired of my friends and family bragging about their latest adventures, creations or achievments whiled I feel like I am going nowhere.

Well I figured out something…I was there (and still am at times). Stay to the end to get this secret and more things I figured out and I share to help you create more content to get rich.

I found it’s easier than ever to get unstuck.

It’s easier than ever to feel better and make more money.

It takes one little mindset shift.

I Decided to share my gifts and talents with the world because it’s selfish not to share.

Notice all of the people above that I was watching were sharing.

They were sharing on social media, tv or the internet.

In the examples of Greg Isenberg and Shaan Puri, the GOATS, they give away the best they have.

This goes counter intuitive to what I was normally doing. I would hold ideas and things to my chest. I digress…

Back to sharing….they may have been sharing the OG way, in-person. Yeah some of us still do this lol.

I reallized that creating and sharing is vital to success, always has been and always will be.

The major difference today is that I (and you) have access to free distribution to share at scale! The internet has allowed me to distribute my message to the entire world.

I realized that creating and sharing is the key. It’s the key to opening the door to everything I want. Hence this is why I sat down and forced myself to write this edition of The Nash Notes.

Speaking of….If you’re signed up to receive The Nash Notes in your inbox thank you 🙏🏼 If not, sign up below to make sure receive it free in your inbox each week.

I have share thousands of times in 1 to 1 meetings. I realized I need and want to share to groups. So I signed up for a speaking coach and learned a lot.

So what was keeping me from using this magical leverage?

I wasn’t I creating and sharing on social media more.

This question led me to sharing, I started experimenting with shorts and posting them on all the major platforms.

This mindset shift got me, an attorney in Nashville, TN, over:

  • 13,000 subscribers on Youtube in 45 days

  • 10,000 followers on Instagram in the same 45 days

  • 1,000 followers on Tiktok in the same 45 days.

I validated the idea.

Creating and sharing works.

Let’s explore another way to look at it.

💡Produce more, or at least as much, as you consume.

See I was sitting there wishing.

  • I wanted what the audience Greg and Shaan had.

  • I wanted to be as good and articulate as them.

  • I wanted to be the friend and family member going on about what I had created or done.

  • I wanted to be doing fun things and getting paid tons of money to do it!

But I wasn’t fully that person. As I learned from a recent MFM episode I figured out I had a “Skill Issue”. I haven’t done enough reps, I haven’t learned the lessons and cultivated the phenomenal skills these others I looked up to have.

I had to implement and really embrace this reframe in order to change my life. Realize I could learn and develop the skills and I had to put in the reps.

Reframe to Riches: Sharing your journey helps others, it helps you and it makes the world a better place.

Sharing my journey, my knowledge, my expertise, my failures and experiences I have helps others.

I know because viewers engage with what I create.

They tell me in the comments.

It’s no longer “just” about me.

Actually, it never was “just” about me, I was just confused, like you may be.

Creating and sharing is my public service work. It is my way of giving abundantly, not expecting anything in return.

When you do this, it comes back 10 or 100 fold in ways you can’t imagine…well I figured out 3 ways.

I am developing skills, getting new friends/Followers/subscribers and getting cash.

Creating more content turned my creativity outward instead of “sabatoging” myself.

Sabatoging is different for each of us. Some use drugs and alcohol and often get in trouble. Others turn the creativity on themselves in unhealthy ways. I was getting in my own way.

I was making requests to the universe and cancelling them.

Besides the followers and conversations I also attracted friends, opportunities such as being invited to go to events, on the boat, trips and past clients and new clients reached out and some hired us.

I know for a my law firm received $850, $2500, $4,500 and other work directly from sharing online.

All within the first 30 days.

I was educated and lead to behave in certain ways.

I am stacking skills and learning to undo what I learned with this information.

I adopted the mindset of:

💡 Share your gifts and talents with the world becuase it’s selfish not to share. It will make your world and the world a better place. Nash

Now, I know what you’re thinking.

How is me taking pictures of my food, silly things I am doing going to help people?

Great question.

I realized for my content to make the world a better place it has to do one of two things, or both.

Educate, Entertain or EduTain

With this new reframe I realized my content has to do one or both of these things.

And I know what you’re thinking?

I am not experienced like you…I am not an attorney or professional….I am not __________ (fill in the blank).

You don’t have to be me. Actually trying to be anyone other than you won’t work.

This is the phenomenal thing about creating more content!

The more authentic and true to yourself you can be the more successful you will be.

Being me is required and it is enough. The same for you.

Another phenomenal thing about creating more content: you can and will learn from creating.

We are put on the earth to create.

The education system has programmed you to believe I have to look to official school teachers to learn. I have to go to classes. I have to read books.

I mean, I hired to speaking coaches to get no speaking gigs!!!

I was trained to belive that I can’t mess up.

They instilled in me the idea that failure is bad.

Failure is feedback. That’s it.

Check this out:

I started creating content in my car.

I thought my car is a great place to record because it has a sun roof for good lighting, it is quiet and I am alone.

Another attorney talked trash to me in the comments.

Before I started I would’ve been bothered by this.

But because I adopted the mindset I am creating content to help others, this one person’s opinions was not going to stop me.

It actually fueled me to make a better video in my car next time.

I thanked her for commenting and told her: “I hope you’re having a good day!”.

And I genuinely smiled because she was helping me.

You see comments are part of the algorithm.

Not long after I started posting I saw this person at a conference and she repeated what she was saying online and said she’s “beating me”.

I smiled and said congratulations. I truly am happy for her:)

Collaboration v. Competition

My day job of being an attorney is very competitive.

I love creating because it is a collaborative thing.

I strive to have an abundant mindset and one of creating and collaborating versus competing.

It was obvious many attorneys don’t colloaborate much but I noticed influencers or creators doing collabs all the time.

I dug in to find out why.

It really hit me reading and rereading Daniel Preistley’s book, Key Person of Influence.

In the book he lays out the 5 steps to become a Key Person of Influence in your field within 12 months. It is part of my playbook.

The 5 steps are:

  1. Pitch. Perfect your pitch.

  2. Publish. Publish quality and quantity.

  3. Product Suite. Develop your first product and then expand.

  4. Profiles. Make sure you’re online profiles are optimized.

  5. Partner. Collaborate with others to grow.

These all are important but number five is the one I am most blown away by.

Once I do the first four I am set up to really accelarate my growth. It may take the better part of the year to do all four but when I join others I can grow online exponentially.

See I didn’t have to wait though and neither do you.

The faster I can do these at the best quality possible the faster I will become rich by creating and sharing content and then partnering with others.

I am always thinking about who I want to help and then I invite them to be on my video podcast to interview them.

I started creating shorts to improve my skills and now I am writing and creating long form content. I just started experimenting.

Experiments

I don’t want to get made fun of.

I don’t want to “fail”.

Instead of thinking of it like that, I swithced to thinking of creating more content as experimenting and to help others.

Experimenting is the opposite of public education.

So experimenting is where it’s at.

Especially I can get feedback quickly on social media to see where you can improve and try again.

When I thought about it and then took swift action I realized something.

The feedback loop of social media is fast, at times immediate.

The more you create and post content the more feedback you get.

I decided to do this daily and I grew super fast. (I knew even if my numbers don’t grow, I would.)

But I did grow fast, it worked.

  • YouTube went from 78 subscribers to 13k in about 45 days

  • Instagram went from 348 to over 10k in the same 45 days

  • TikTok went from ___ to over 1300 in same 45 days.

It’s all an experiment.

I’m having fun creating knowing it is the ultimate form of leverage.

Well, the ultimate just might be software, but that’s for another post:)

Accountability

I had to stop lying to myself.

Besides the limiting beliefs and fear keeping me from creating more content and sharing it, I didn’r have much accountability.

I was wanting things and saying I will do this or that but I didn’t do it.

I decided to stop this.

The way to stop is to improve the relationship with myself and get accountability from others.

I realized relationships not only make life more rich for me but also others, hence why social media improves your life.

I consider each subscriber or follower a new friend. Some even become like family.

Your lives are enriched by me creating content and sharing it with you.

My life is enriched by creating, sharing and helping you reach your goals.

It’s a win/win/win relationship.

You hold me accountable. I have to help you. I want to help you.

I love doing it because it is beneficial for us both and it is leverage. I am helping one-on-one but then that content can go help you and others and I don’t have to be there.

So the social media software is helping me help you and others. It’s a beautiful thing and it’s free!

Speaking of software, if you’re interested in being held accountable in fun and interesting ways simply raise your hand by joining the waitlist for free when I get the landing page built here soon. I will send an email out when you can join the waitlist.

I realized social media is not only free but it is the modern way to get rich.

Rich is Not Just About Money Anymore

I know money is not evil.

I was raised around people saying that and then they were often corrected by someone else saying that “the love of money is the root of all evil”.

Either way, this is no way to teach children about money. Money is a tool that I can use to help myself, my children, you and the world.

Being rich monetarily will just amplify my true nature.

Rich to me is abundance in all areas of life, not just money. The major areas I like to think of are: health, wealth, love, fun/learn, freedom and create.

I feel we are all here to create.

Another mindset change that helped me hit the numbers on social media in a short period of time was this.

Change your words and you will change your life.

Being is is being able to choose the thoughts you want becuase your thoughts effect what you say, and what you think and say dictate what you feel, what you feel causes your emotions. What energy you have in motion affects what you do. What you do creates your habits and what your habits are will result in the fruit you bear/the results you get eventually.

When I talk about getting rich I think of my mantra:

Cultivate Your Garden.

This is one of the sayings I came up with and say to remind me to make myself more valuable. To cultivate skills and habits that will eventually bear fruit, help myself and you.

The alternative is to stay stagnate. If you’re not growing your dying.

Go Create, Share and Get Rich

What are you waiting for?

What are you still nervous about?

One of the blocks I had was not wanting to share all of my life. I am fairly private and once I started posting I realized this was just a limiting belief.

You don’t have to share anything you don’t want to, you’re in control.

All of my creating now is figuring out how to package me up and share it with you.

So now, are you ready to do what you were put on this earth to do?

Create.

Whether you create a business, you create art, you create relationships, you create a family, you create experiences, you create books, movies or whatever….go create.

Now that I am creating I share it with others.

You can tap into this leverage and share because it’s free and you can help others one on one and at scale.

I am going to continue to experiment and share, I would love to hear from you and hear how I can help you on your journey.

Have fun.

Use the data to see what is most helpful (Educational or Entertaining to your viewers).

Adjust.

And always remember: Create more content and get rich.

Thanks for your attention and feedback, I greatly appreciate it.
